Happy New Year!

This New Year weekend we went up to see Adam in Seattle. We had such a great time. We ended up getting to his place about 9pm. It felt late, but then again, it didn't really matter because you have to stay up long enough to ring in the new year. So really we were like 3 hours early. Anyway, we got there and we saw the house, ate some yummy pizza and we were going to do taquitos but forgot....oops. We had some little snacks too so we could stay awake. We could see the space needle from his windows so we watched when all the fireworks went off. It was really cool but since it was cloudy, all the smoke from the fireworks just kind of hovered around the space needle. We still saw most of them, but a few were hidden behind the clouds of smoke.
The next day we got up and went to the Museum of Flight! It was great. AND THE CAMERA COOPERATED!! Long enough for some pictures...not all the time, but at least we got some pictures!
Inside the red barn where Boeing all began...
Air Force One
Inside Air Force Once
The Concorde...it's huge on the outside and really tiny inside and it went really really fast!WWII exhibits (we didn't get any of WWI)

The more modern airplanes...lots of those! (we didn't get any of the space area either)

Oh, and just before we got there, Adam had to show us this massive pair of cowboy boots and hat!
The next day we headed down to the Pike Street Market. I love that place. There is just so much variety there. Almost anything you're looking for could be around there someplace. I enjoyed the fresh made doughnuts. I wish I had some right now! Rich hadn't been there before so that was cool for him to go see everything. This was just me playing around with the picture on the computer...

Then we stopped by where Adam works and we saw the new 787 Dreamliner. It was cool. We missed it taking off when we came home...it was schedule to take off while we were then and then it didn't actually take off until about 3 hours later :(
On Saturday night we went to Ivars after we already ate dinner (yummy mussels!). We tried out some fish and chips and the calamari platter. It was pretty good and then Adam said this other thing tasted like scrambled eggs and that's all I could think of for the rest of the night.

On Sunday, Adam took us around town just showing us all the pretty houses and a pretty park and then this Troll that was under an overpass. It's literally holding a VW bug!

Then he took us to this great burger joint called Dick's. It was great! That sounds pretty good right now too :) Then we sadly had to go home and pack up so we could get home. We had such a great time up there. We definitely want to go back up again...maybe when I get another break from school.

I hope everyone's New Year was just as wonderful. Happy 2010 everyone!
