Last week it was really nice outside and it was warm too! So I decided it was time to put all of my flower pots to good use. I got three different seed packets and Rich got a potato. I filled my pots with fresh soil and planted away! In a big pot I planted Rich's potato and hopefully we will have something latter this summer! I'm praying it works because that would be pretty neat to just got out on the porch and have potatoes for dinner! In another big pot I planted all three of my flower seeds. I planted some Zinnias, Lavender and Dahlias. I have a medium sized pot that I planted all three kinds of flowers in and then I have 12 little pots that I alternated between Zinnias and Dahlias. I'm so excited to have all my seeds planted and ready for spring! Now my little plants just have to grow. In about 3 weeks there should be some sprouts. . . that's the plan anyway!

You DO know that potatoes grow under ground, right?! They aren't going to have much room in your pot, I hope you get more than one or two!
I bet you used a ruler to evenly space your pots, didn't you? :)
Lol. You know I would have done the same thing!!
Meg- I just used the spacing in the railing. Ever other space gets a pot. :) When I was doing it I thought of you!
Mom- I know there's not a huge amount of room there but the potato is close to the top and they are red potatoes so they are supposed to be small anyway right?! I was just thinking, do you need more than one potato piece so it can pollinate? Do potatoes pollinate if they are underground?!
I love the way they are lined up! It looks so cute. And how pretty it will be when they are all filled with flowers. What a great potato venture! I hope you get lots to eat. I've never grown potatoes--you'll have to let me know how it grows.
PS the word verification for this comment is tater!! HA! That must be a good sign for your potatoes!
I love how you have your pots arranged. My are not so neatly arranged which makes them hard to water.
