The Zoo!

One day while we were up in Seattle, we went to the Woodland Park Zoo. It was so much fun! I want to go back some time. We were there for 3 1/2 hours and we still didn't get to see everything. We basically ran through the zoo too, just stopping long enough to take pictures and head to the next thing.

Here's the ZOO!

This was all I got to see of the hippos
Komodo Dragon
Rain forest flowers and birds
Red Panda

You can see the rest of our trip to Seattle in the post below!

Seattle Trip

Last month we went up to Seattle to spend some time with Adam. We had some wonderful weather and spent some time just hanging out together. Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Snoqualmie Falls
As Adam said, "That's the last time any of us saw that ball"

Geese I fed at Ivar's

Rich and I also went to the zoo one day, but I put that in it's own post (above!)

We had such a great time, we can't wait to go back soon!

Planter Box

This past weekend was so nice and warm and sunny, that we decided it was time to plant some flowers. It's actually stayed nice here for almost a whole week now! I wouldn't mind if it wanted to stick around forever :) We planted some violas and pansies in some hanging baskets and then some dahlias in the big planter box.

Here is the progress of making the planter box from the beginning to the finished product!

Can't wait until it's actually spring and I get to see all the pretty flowers we planted!

Cross Country Skiing

So not much has happened since the new year began. I have been super busy with school and work. I am applying to OHSU for nursing and that application process has kept me pretty busy too. I am only taking something like 16 credits, but I'm in class that are longer than the number of hours I get credit for (sit in class for 6 hours a week and get 3 credits out of it, or 3 hours for 2 credits...real fun!).

Rich has been really busy at work this year, and thankfully hasn't been effected at all by this recession. He's just working away, doing a great job!

We were able to get away this past weekend and go cross country skiing with some couples from our Young Marries group at church. We had a good time, but I'm still not sure if I like it yet. It's not bad, it just don't really enjoy it as much as some other people...But I'll go!

It was snowing most of the time, so that was fun. Plus there was an area with 8 tents or so set up with all kind of things. REI was there giving away free chapstick and fruit snacks (Rich said he hoped they were at least healthy because they tasted horrible). Then they were having free burgers and brauts for lunch if we came back in time....and believe me, we were back in time!

Here are some pictures of us (actually mostly me since Rich had the camera the whole time) having a good time and falling....well, me falling.
