Fun Game

Tonight, Rich was looking at a web site and I saw that they had some games on it. I decided that we should try one out and we ended up getting addicted to it. Here's the link to it so you can try it out for yourselves.

Rich's highest score was a little over 403,000 meters and mine was a little over 400,000 meters. Have fun and let us know how high you got in the atmosphere!

Plant Update...Again!

First, let me just say that I'm sorry that I haven't updated the blog in a while. Things have been busy and there hasn't been a whole lot going on to update you with. I did, however, want to update you on all our plants and what happened last weekend!

So about two weekends ago now, Rich and I were sitting outside because it was nice and sunny and warm. We were sitting there and all of a sudden Rich says, "Let's refinish the table!" So we went to Home Depot and he got a sander and some polyurethane (we already had some stain). He was so happy to have a project to do. Here's a picture of Rich working away...He was whistling most of the time because he was so happy!

Now onto some plants...
This last weekend we went up to St Helens and I came home with tomato plants, a bell pepper plant, lettuce seeds, carrot seeds and parsley seeds. We also built some planter boxes for all these veggies to go. I designed the boxes, Rich cut the wood and screwed a lot of one together (I did one side by myself) and then last night I made the other box all by myself! We got home and I planted all my veggies and ended up transplanting the potato to one of the boxes so the potatoes can grow a little bigger. When I transplanted the potato I found lots of little red potatoes growing...I was so excited! Now all our plants are getting bigger and enjoying the sun. I can't wait until the middle of summer so we can start harvesting some stuff!

Here are some pictures of our boxes and the new plants. Oh, and one of the wildflowers I planted with one of the bigger pots of daliahs, zennias, and lavendar.

Look at the strawberry...it's getting red!

Oh my, how could I have forgotten to update for this! Last week I was accepted into the school of Interior Design here at Oregon State! I'm so happy to actually get back into those design classes. Now everyone knows :)

The Potatoes Are Coming! The Potaotes Are Coming!

The weather has been pretty weird around here these past few week. Sometimes it's sunny and then it starts to rain and then it gets warm and really muggy feeling. I don't like that it changes so much but our plants sure seem to enjoy it! This past weekend we left to go see some family and when we came back the potato plants had easily doubled in size...maybe even tripled! All of the other plants went nuts too growing twice as big as before. I guess we should leave town more often, our plants seem to like to grow when they're alone.

Here is what the potato looked like before we left:

And this is what it looked like when we came home:
Here are what the flowers looked like before we left:
Here is the same pot once we got home:

Here is a picture of our hanging baskets...they have been growing a lot!
And here are some strawberry plants we got this weekend (THANKS JOANN!)
I can't wait to watch them grow and eat some yummy strawberries!
(They still need a little more soil but I'm working on it :) )
