House Tour

For one of my classes I had to walk around the historic houses in Corvallis. It would have been a great assignment if it weren't assigned the week it just poured down rain! I enjoyed it but by the time I got home I literally had water in my shoes and socks and my pants were wet up to my knees...not so much fun. Here are some of the houses that I went to see though!

Little bungalow close to school

A cape cod

I'm not totally sure what this is but I said it was a georgian revival

Another Tudor Revival

This one actually was built with a music hall inside!

Grilled Cheese

Rich and I were home for lunch at the same time the other day and he made me a grilled cheese sandwich. I don't know how he does it but they come out perfect every time! He's told me how he does it and I have tried, but I still can't seem to make it just right.

So good I had to take a bite first
The perfect gooey cheese and golden brown! Yummy!!

BUGS!!!

Lately there have been these funky looking bugs all over our screen door, and sliding door and the walls outside... I don't really like bugs and when I opened the blinds there were like 10 on the window. They stayed there for a few days then I opened the blinds another day and they had doubled!! bugs seemed to be all over the place and then just 2 days ago, I opened the blinds and counted...there were close to 4o bugs on EVERYTHING outside our porch. They are so gross....

Ugly bugs :( on the door and the outside wall

Cooking Time

Sorry for not writing a new post in such a long time! I have been soooo busy at school. This week I have 2 more papers to write but I needed to take a little break so I though I should update. Let's see...I made this really good stuffed shells thing. I was amazed with how it turned out! I realized after cooking that I was going to add some sauce to the filling but forgot, it still tasted good though!
Here's the shells cooking away!

A week or two ago I got this craving for pancakes! We have no griddle or bisquick (which is the only way I have ever made pancakes) but that didn't stop me. I found a recipe for pancakes from scratch and I used the skillet! I was so happy! We didn't have any syrup though so I had to put blueberries in the pancakes to sweeten them up a bit. They were delicious!!
