Bridal Shower

This past weekend I went down to Medford for my first bridal shower. I had so much fun seeing people I haven't seen in a long time. We played some fun games, and by we I really me me. You see, Meghan decided that it would be more fun if I played some games by myself and everyone else gets to watch. I guess it turned out fine because we all seemed to have a good time. One game involved me being blindfolded and then given a bag full of clothes which I had to then put on where I thought they were supposed to go... Here's how it went

Well, as you can see...I was doing pretty well to start out. I got a little confused with the red braided wig. I thought that it was a scarf so it went around my neck... oh well.

So here I am...a little farther along in the game. I had a little trouble with the apron. I thought for sure it was another blindfold, so I put it on my head...where all blindfolds should go.

This is what I ended up looking like when the game was all finished. I think that overall, it was fairly successful.

Now this wasn't the only game at the party...next I had to answer questions that Rich had answered in an email. Any time we didn't match on our answers, I had to chew a piece of bubbleyum bubble gum. I thought that I was doing pretty good, but I did have to put 6 pieces in. I'm glad that there weren't any more questions, because people were beginning to think I was going to choke. Here's a picture of what I looked like...with all 6 pieces.

Overall, I thought that this was a great shower. Thanks to everyone that could make it, and if you couldn't...now you're caught up on all the activities. Hope to see you all soon. Only 38 days left!

Dress

So today I get to go put my dress back on. I'm getting it fitted and I'm so excited. I got it a while back and have just been waiting for it to arrive so I can get it fitted and ready to go. I have everything ready to go so that I just have to grab it and get down to the shop to put it on. Oh I'm so excited.

Registry!

Okay so the invitations are sent and on their way. I hope that you all enjoy them! This is just a little note to tell you all about the registry. We went and registered at Bed, Bath & Beyond, Target, and Home Depot. The problem is that with Home Depot we went in twice and they are still having problems putting the registry in their system or something. So we have come up with plan B. We'll just list on here what the Home Depot registry should be and then go from there. We would like you to know that if you were to buy something from Home Depot that was on the registry, please post an anonymous comment so others will know what has been purchased. From time to time I might post a blog giving an update on what's been purchased so that it's easier to look through. We were also going to say that we know that there are some more expensive items on there, so if you would like for us to have an item like that, feel free to give a gift card with a note saying "towards this or that" so we know. Also if you just can't make up your mind, gift cards are great too. Some other options for such cards would be IKEA, REI, GI Joes (I guess it's just Joes now isn't it?). They are all great stores but I don't think they have wedding registry there... oh well. So here's the Home Depot registry!!

These SKU numbers were from the store but it should be the same. I did try to look at the items online but they weren't there so they are at the actual store. Sorry..

More Invitations

So for the past week or two I have been getting the invitations together. I was told that addressing them would take the longest and I was surprised that, for me, it wasn't. I was getting them done in sets of 25 in a matter of 30 minutes or so! The long part came when it was time to put our address and stamps on them. I must have not been thinking through this before I put together the invitations because I had to take them all apart again when it was time to put stamps on the response cards and our address on the response cards...
It's been a whole 2 days of doing this and I still have some left to do. I should have thought of this first....not last. Oh well, they are going to look wonderful...you'll see!

On another note, I got Rich's wedding band the other day. It came in a lot sooner than I was expecting it to. It looks so great. I think I take it out of the box and look at it a few times per day...do you think I'm a little excited?

Invitations

Yesterday, Rich and I went out to Tualatin. We were going to get our invitations printed and found a couple places to go look into. We went to the first place and he said that they couldn't do it because their machines weren't that fancy even though they were supposed to be getting some new ones in sometime soon. So we went over the the next place and told the woman what we were wanting and in less than 5 minutes (literally) all of the invitations were printed. They look so beautiful and I can't wait to get them sent out. Now all we have to do is the task of addressing them. Hopefully this won't take as long as I'm told it will be. I wanted to put a picture of the invitations up but then realized that you all would be getting them soon so I guess you'll just have to be in suspense for a little while... :) Well, I guess I'm off to get started on the wonderful task of addressing invitations. Only 60 days left!!
